# Waterfall charts

A waterfall chart is often used to show the breakdown of the total change in a value, such as a financial metric like net income or cash flow. Inforiver offers 3 variations of the waterfall chart: Solid, Colored, and Invert Colored which can be inserted in a single click. Furthermore, the following customization options are available in the Customise tab from the ribbon:&#x20;

(a) Axis config&#x20;

(b) Data label config&#x20;

(c) Continuous waterfall&#x20;

(d) Fill pattern&#x20;

(e) Appearance
